Navagio Beach — ook bekend als Shipwreck Beach — is waarschijnlijk het meest gefotografeerde strand ter wereld. Deze afgelegen baai aan de noordwestkust van Zakynthos is alleen per boot bereikbaar en wordt omlijst door torenhoge kalkstenen kliffen die 200 meter boven het hagelwitte zand uitsteken. In het midden ligt de roestende romp van de MV Panagiotis, een smokkelschip dat in 1980 aan de grond liep.
Het turquoise water is zo fel dat het bijna onwerkelijk lijkt. Het beste uitkijkpunt is het platform op de klif, waar het contrast tussen het azuurblauwe water en het roestige wrak een iconisch beeld vormt. De baai ligt op het westen, waardoor het namiddaglicht een spectaculaire gouden gloed over de kliffen en het wrak werpt.

"We've been to a lot of beaches across the Med and Navagio Shipwreck Beach sits comfortably in our top five. The sand is properly soft (not the gritty stuff you get further east), the water shelves gently for the first 30 metres, and the small reef at the headland makes for legitimately good snorkelling. Only minor gripe: the walk down from the parking is steep — fine going, less fun coming back up with kids and a cooler."
