Caló des Moro is the most photographed cove on Mallorca — a tiny postcard-perfect inlet tucked between dramatic limestone cliffs on the island's southeast coast near Santanyí. Just 40 meters wide, the beach reveals itself only after a steep 10-minute descent down a narrow rocky path, which keeps numbers low and the scenery cinematic. The water is an unreal layered turquoise — pale aquamarine at the shore, deepening to electric sapphire where the cove meets the open Mediterranean — and the sand is bright, fine, and Caribbean-bright.
Pine trees cling to the cliffs above, and a single offshore islet completes the composition. There are no facilities, no parking right at the beach, and no umbrellas, so visitors bring everything in and out — part of why Caló des Moro has stayed so pristine despite being world-famous. The nearby village of Santanyí, a 15-minute drive away, is one of Mallorca's most charming honey-stone towns with an excellent weekly market, art galleries, and tapas bars serving local sobrassada and Manchego.
Snorkeling along the rocky edges reveals octopi, wrasse and groupers in the protected coastal habitat.

"Look, the beach itself is gorgeous and I'd come back. But — be honest about what to expect. The sunbeds are expensive in season, the nearest decent restaurant is a 10-minute walk and on weekends locals (rightly) take the best spots early. Go on a Tuesday in June and you'll think you've found paradise."
